PRIVATE/INSTRUMENT GROUND SCHOOL

Private Pilot Ground School to be held at Shannon beginning May 23, 2010.

Instrument Ground School to begin in September, 2010.

JLS Aviation offers Private Pilot Ground School Courses of instruction throughout the year. The next course will probably be held beginning on 23 May 2010 and completing the first week of August. We will be offering this class on Sunday afternoon, probably beginning about 3:30. For the holiday weekends, class will be held on Tuesday evenings, so that students will have long weekends free. The cost of each course varies, but has recently been $199 for the course itself. A kit containing course text books, flight computer, log book, FAR, and other material is available for $269 (normally $289) plus tax.  Successful completion of the course results in students receiving a Course Completion Certificate and an endorsement allowing the student to take the FAA Private Pilot Knowledge Exam.

The next Private Ground School will be held beginning on May 23 , 2010 and will run for about 10 weeks. The cost is $199.

The Private Pilot Ground School Course will be held if at least four students are registered prior to the first class. The class size is limited to eight in order to provide each student with individual instruction and personalized attention. If you would like to be contacted once class time and date are established, contact the Flight School at 540-374-1715. Payment reserves a seat.

JLS Aviation will offer an instrument ground school course of instruction. The next course date has not been established, but will be scheduled for September, 2010. The cost of the course will be $199. Seating will be limited to 6 students. If you are interesting in attending, contact JLS Aviation at 540-374-1715.

The flight school periodically offers a Pinch Hitter course. The course is suitable for anyone who does not desire training for a pilot license, but would be interested in assisting a pilot or possibly landing an aircraft in an emergency. If you are interesting in attending this course, contact JLS Aviation at 540-374-1715
